Mapping the Territory – ‘all the other things’

Having read the first few chapters of Elkin’s ‘Stories of Art’, I was very much influenced to create a map that looks at how I see art history and also where I see myself ‘fitting’ in with contemporary art. My territory map therefore creates a record of  what things I feel are important such as Scottish art and the YBA movement of the 90s. However what my map doesn’t address or show are things such as: process; materials; methodologies; specific lists of artists; philosophers and sociologists; themes and currents (geo-political for example) in other words all the other things. Perhaps I might need to do a second version of my map and add all of these things in?
